About the author(s)
Yong Ho received his Ph.D. in anthropology and linguistics, with a specialty in Chinese anthropology and language, from Columbia University. He presently coordinates the Chinese program at the United Nations, and serves as the Vice-President and Executive Director of the Chinese Language Teachers Association of Greater New York. He has taught at the New School University and served as the Director of Language at the China Institute in New York City. His other books include Beginner's Chinese, China: An Illustrated History, the Chinese-English Frequency Dictionary, and the Hippocrene Children's Illustrated (Mandarin) Chinese Illustrated Dictionary, all published by Hippocrene Books.
