About the author(s)
Helga Hilmisdóttir has a Ph.D. in Scandinavian languages from the University of Helsinki. She has taught Icelandic at universities in Finland and Iceland, and currently teaches at the University of Manitoba.
Jacek Kozlowski has a degree in English Literature from the University of Manitoba and is currently pursuing graduate studies there. A native English speaker, he has learned to speak Icelandic fluently.
