Spoken by over 10 million people worldwide, Shona (also known as ChiShona) is an official language of Zimbabwe. It is also spoken in Mozambique, Malawi, and Zambia. It is one of the most widely spoken Bantu languages and its writing system was codified during the early 20th century.
